Advocating for Community Energy in Westminster 🌱
My commitment to green and local growth is something I’ve taken directly to government leaders. I was recently invited to speak to Parliament’s Energy Security and Net Zero Committee.
I spoke about the challenges communities face when trying to fund their own energy projects. These local projects are often too small for big investors, which creates a gap that holds them back. I shared my ideas for new ways to get these projects funded and for policies that make it easier for people to invest in their own local energy. This work is about making sure that our national energy strategy puts local people and their projects first.
